A quintessential Eastern Shore wedding weekend unfolded at The Oaks in St. Michaels, Maryland, where Taylor and Greg tied the knot on a warm June day surrounded by abundant hydrangeas and their beloved golden retriever.

Nestled on a secluded 10-acre waterfront estate along a tranquil cove off the Chesapeake Bay, The Oaks offered more than just a beautiful venue; it provided a full weekend escape for the couple and their guests. With charming accommodations on-site, guests enjoyed paddleboarding, canoeing, cycling, and relaxing by the water, all wrapped in the kind of thoughtful hospitality that made the estate feel like a private retreat.

Taylor envisioned a romantic and feminine floral palette, so we worked with seasonal blooms in soft, elegant tones—from blush pink to rose. Her bouquet featured hydrangeas, lisianthus, foxgloves, cosmos, and phlox, creating a garden-inspired look that complemented the season. Her bridesmaids wore mismatched blue gowns, which provided a striking contrast to their pink bouquets and tied in beautifully with the waterfront setting.

The ceremony took place in the garden, overlooking the bay, beneath a lush arch of hydrangeas. Just as it began, the couple’s golden retriever bounded down from the cottage, ran joyfully down the aisle, and sat faithfully beside the groom as they awaited the bride, a heartfelt and unforgettable moment that brought smiles to everyone in attendance.

After the ceremony, Taylor and Greg were whisked away on The Oaks’ private boat for a breezy newlywed cruise around the bay, savoring a quiet moment together. Meanwhile, guests enjoyed cocktail hour before heading into the reception, where we created a romantic, glowing atmosphere with hydrangea cloud centerpieces, seasonal vase arrangements, and an abundance of candlelight. The night continued with joyful celebration and dancing, wrapping up a weekend full of beauty, love, and lasting memories.
