Multi-cultural Summer Wedding at Gramercy Mansion

A beautiful two-day wedding with three events at the Gramercy Mansion, with stunning color and the best of summer blooms. The primary palette was shades of pink, yellow, and gold and then each event had additional colors which kept the overall wedding feeling cohesive and made each event unique. We used as many locally grown flowers as possible including marigolds, dahlias, raspberries on the vine and greens, rudbeckia, and yarrow.

We began with the Sangeet on Friday evening in Gramercy’s Carriage House and the surrounding courtyard. The fountain was the focal point of the Sangeet. We created a custom, sprawling installation weaving around the fountain base and center, and added petals to the water. Inside the Carriage House, bright and whimsical florals created a stunning fireplace mantel arrangement. Tables were adorned with gold lanterns, compote arrangements, votive candles and romantic petals. We kept the base palette of pink, yellow, and gold and added fushia and orange including roses, dahlias, and local raspberry foliage.

Saturday started at 3am to set up the morning’s Hindu ceremony located inside of the Gramercy Mansion. Here, we kept the base palette and added pastels for a garden vibe. The mandap was adorned in carnation garlands with whimsical florals including roses and orchids added to the structure. Lush garden urns were placed at the
beginning of the aisle to welcome guests.

Following the Hindu ceremony, we delivered the bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets for the first look of the Western ceremony. The bouquets included shades of coral, peach, apricot, and blush to complement the bridesmaids’s colorful mix-and-match dresses. Bride Amisha’s bouquet was comprised of garden roses, dahlias, and orchids.

Next, we created a deconstructed arch in the garden. Hot pink dendrobium orchids, coral phalaenopsis orchids, and orange marigolds created a beautiful
setting for the ceremony.

The guests then entered the tented reception, in the lawn of the Gramercy Mansion. We created lush mono-vase arrangements with colorful garden roses, zinnias, dahlias, and snapdragons. Sandstone pillar candles and gold votives complemented the colorful palette. Celosia, pink snapdragons, rudbeckia, dahlias, and roses created the most lush and colorful compote centerpieces. Adding blue tweedia to these centerpieces tied it all together, matching the napkins on the table for our final color palette.
