Late Summer Wedding at The Winslow

Steph and Andy got married at The Winslow after one million postponements and a micro wedding. Not only did I have the privilege of doing two weddings for this beautiful couple, I’ve also done multiple weddings for their friend group, so to say this wedding finally happening was special, is a huge understatement. If you look closely you can see pics of me giving Steph and Andy a very emotional room reveal.

After their micro wedding, Steph wanted to have fun and pump up the color for this one. We selected late summer’s best flowers- dahlias, garden roses, zinnias, and sahara rudbeckia. Their vibe was industrial chic with romantic touches- perfect for The Winslow.

For the ceremony, we created a deconstructed arch with lots of branchy greens and pops of color. We lined the aisles with candles and loose vines. Following the ceremony, we repurposed the arch to a photo wall complete with a neon sign. It was so fun for guests to be able to take photos with the ceremony decor as well.

The hanging installation over the sweetheart table was the focal point of the reception. I used anthurium and cascading amaranthus to give the piece dimension. Lastly, we added in Distant Drum garden roses to really make it pop. On the velvet tablecloth, we added mono-arrangements – each vase contained a single variety and complemented them with taper and votive candles. I loved that Steph choose to do the sweetheart table in front of the stairs, there are so many options in this venue and this one looked amazing and really created an impact when guests walked into the room.

Steph and Andy were such a fun and loving couple to design with. They gave me a lot of creative freedom and in return, I was able to create a really beautiful atmosphere for their wedding and gain friends in the process.
