Christine is a wedding planner with impeccable taste. When she inquired about us doing her wedding florals I was over the moon! And I knew I had to deliver the absolute best for her. She made it easy with her dream team of planners and Megan Harris capturing it all.

The wedding was at The Female Pataspco Institute in Ellicott City. The building is a former girls' school built in 1837 on land donated by the Ellicott brothers. Over the years the lumber was removed from the building including the floor, roof, and windows. Now the structure is stabilized ruins and open to the stars. It’s very romantic and possibly haunted. We crossed our fingers for good weather and we got it! Jeremy and I attended as guests too, and we really enjoyed the night.

Christine and Andy said their vows on the front steps lined with their bridal parties. The girls carried bouquets in a moody neutral palette- white, cream, tan, and blush pink- with dried ruscus and lunaria accents. I used butterfly ranunculus, orchids, lisianthus, roses, and anthurium to create a romantic, whimsical, and lux look. With silk ribbons of course! Christine stunned in a light pink Marchesa dress with black detailing. Her bridesmaids wore black satin dresses and later added on pink leather jackets as the night cooled. Andy and the groomsmen wore black tuxedos, setting the vibe for a sophisticated and fun evening.

Inside the structure, we created a sprawling installation with dried lunaria and candles on the stone fireplace. We placed candles in every window and around the venue. The reception tables were draped in velvet tablecloths with textured napkins. We alternated low floral arrangements with bud vases, flower frogs, and candles in every size- taper, pillar, and votive on the long tables.
